Two New Jinma Rides Landmarks Launch at Qingyuan Chimelong
This summer, Qingyuan Chimelong Forest Kingdom celebrates its grand opening with the debut of two new rides – the Mine Coaster and the Sky Ring delivered by Jinma Rides– which create a three dimensional African wildlife observation and exploration system through the three dimensions of height, panoramic views, and speed，taking riders from ground level up to 70 meters.
Standing as a landmark project of Qingyuan Chimelong, the Sky Ring rises to 70 meters and can accommodate up to 100 riders at a time. Passengers board the 360° fully transparent sightseeing cabin, which slowly rotates and ascends, offering an immersive panorama of the surrounding mountain scenery. For this observation tower, Jinma goes beyond the rotating sightseeing function to also prioritize a spacious interior, allowing riders of all ages to move freely and enjoy the views in comfort. On safety, Jinma has implemented multiple braking systems and added a full‑track magnetic speed‑limiting device to ensure the cabin never overspeeds under any abnormal condition. Adopting large double curved laminated glass panels for the cabin exterior reduces steel framing for a more transparent and aesthetic appearance, while the use of an integral aluminium alloy outer frame enhances safety and streamlines on site installation. The generous space also opens up commercial possibilities, from bar service to customized dining options. The tower exterior can be fitted with high density LED dot matrix lighting systems, programmable to display text and animations that interact with the surrounding environment to suit various themes. From safety to comfort, and from sightseeing to operation, the Sky Ring is more than a sightseeing landmark – it is a versatile and customizable high altitude destination that adapts to a wide range of purposes.
As the fastest and most iconic coaster at Qingyuan Chimelong, the Mine Coaster evokes the gritty gold-mining era of 19th-century Africa with vivid authenticity. Spanning 780 metres of track, a 30-metre drop, and speeds surpassing 70 km/h, the ride packs sprinting bursts and stomach-churning dives into a thrilling two-minute dash. Each train carries 26 riders, ensuring efficient throughput even during peak park hours. After a chain lift to the crest, the train coasts freely under gravity, carving through steep drops and banked curves that deliver a ride both exhilarating and smooth. True to the park's African narrative, Jinma has given the train exteriors and track surroundings bespoke thematic treatments, merging the weathered soul of a forsaken mine with the pulse-pounding rush of high-speed flight.
